(3) HOW TO LIVE VERSUS WHY TO LIVE

An airplane flies at a high or low altitude, according to its purpose. Likewise, people have different lifestyles, customs, thoughts, cultures, and schedules. Some people are married and have children, others are single, and others get divorced and remarry. Each person has the freedom to how he lives.

Most people do not differentiate ‘how to live’ and ‘why to live.’ Those who live for money, possessions, or fame, are like pilots flying without a destination. The question ‘why he lives’ is crucial and should come first, in the same way that the destination should be decided before an airplane takes off.

It is essential for a person to know his destination and how to get there. Walking and flying become important only when we have somewhere to go. Likewise, living becomes important only when we have an end in mind.
